No, it's not normal.
When Lauren was first diagnosed with reflux she came to love her Ranitidine. It is likely that you haven't tasted infant Zantac but it tastes like minty black licorice. Not awesome. Lauren got to the point that when she was upset, we would show her the bottle and she would instantly stop crying.
Now she takes many medications each morning, one during the day and some more at night... and I think she loves it! There are some that she likes more than others but in general it is one of the highlights of her day.
